Who We Are

St. Anthony the Great Orthodox Christian Church in Spring, Texas is a Pan-Orthodox parish rooted in the Apostolic Faith of the Orthodox Church. We are a welcoming community living out Christ’s command to love God and love our neighbor.

St. Anthony's began as an outreach program in 1982 extending from our mother parish, St. George, who wanted to establish an Orthodox Christian Church in the Northwest Houston area. Initial meetings were held in a subdivision clubhouse and homes until a temporary place of worship was established in a shopping center suite on FM 1960. Worship then moved to a small property in 1987 after land was purchased by parishioners. In April of 2011, St. Anthony's moved to its current location and continues to seek ways to connect with the surrounding community.

We are so excited to welcome you to our inaugural International Food Festival! What makes our parish so special is the diversity of cultures and traditions we bring together, and this festival is a beautiful reflection of that unity. Welcoming others is at the heart of who we are, and we invite you to experience the warmth of our parish family, our faith, and the rich cultures, traditions, and flavors from around the world.
